No News is Good News?

Just a brief note to let you know what Geniuser has been up to. Giuseppe came over from Copenhagen for a week in November to work on a few ideas. We ended up with 3 well formed peices of music with vocals. The next step is for me to finalise the vocals. But Christmas & New Year have slowed that down. I hope to get over to Andrews soon to do this before he goes off to live in Berlin.

Mass & Old Live Tapes

The Mass album and 7" are due to be remastered very soon and the sleeve is being re designed also.
I know of a couple of good quality live tapes that are around but as to whether they will be released is another matter.

Ignac 'The Burden of Mules'

You must be blessed with a sixth sense. Myself and Andrew have just re-mastered the album, but i don't know when it is due for release. I will call Steve Webbon and see if he can give me an answer.

Maarten

Who i was reffering to in my comment 'making certain people feel a little uncomfortable" was primarily myself. Suffice to say that it simply didnt feel right to take it to 4ad. I have no problems with anyone at 4ad that im aware of and it is always a pleasure to turn up at 4ad unannounced and have a drink with Jo.

Blurbvurts 3 Questions

QUESTION 1
is almost unanswerable. 4ad i imagine is a different animal now. It is a decade since twp stopped making records which is a lifetime ago. Giuseppe asked if i would take the album to 4ad but i was very reluctant, it didnt seem like the right thing to do and it may have made certain people feel a little uncomfortable.
QUESTION 2
Andrew is still making music. He released an album a couple of years back under the name "The Limehouse Outlaw" titled 'Homegrown', i think 4ad sell it through their mail order website. I still see him he's doing well. He is currently helping Gary Asquith formerly of Renegade Soundwave complete his album "Mikes Bikes." I know nothing of m.cox.
QUESTION 3
It was not a dream, we did indeed colaborate with Mr Tom Jones. He covered one of our songs 'A Girl Like You' and myself & andrew also wrote him a song 'Show Me', much to the horror and digust of some people. He performed with us in L.A. i think, for the thirteen year itch 4ad celebrations, which may have been the final nail in the coffin.

Touring

At present Margaret we have no plans to tour. The Geniuser project was financed soley by myself and Giuseppe by that I mean there was no money, also not being signed means we have no financial support. However Giuseppe is currently working on some new material and is badgering me to get some vocals done. Maybe by some miracle somebody out there with some influence and an ear for something left of ordinary might approach us to make a follow up to Mud Black.
